Sculpture depicting the head of Eros, inspired by an ancient work discovered in 1772 in Centocelle, near Rome. Known as the Eros of Centocelle, the original is housed in the Vatican Museums after having been briefly exhibited at the Louvre during Napoleon's reign. Entirely handcrafted by skilled artisans, this reproduction is made of Carrara marble dust and scagliola, perpetuating a traditional craft. An elegant piece that echoes the heritage of ancient sculpture. Excellent condition.
